The word prevention comes from the Latin word “praevenire” which means “to anticipate”. This gets at what prevention is all about: preventing future injury to the musculoskeletal system through targeted exercise.

Brushing our teeth daily prevents long-term damage and promotes good oral health; we do it three times a day without even thinking about it.

Just as we use our teeth daily, we also use our bodies. We need to take care of our bodies to prevent future injuries. After all, our muscles, ligaments, tendons, nerves and bones undergo lots of stress every day. Sitting or standing for long periods and recurring one-sided movements in our daily lives result in some structures of the body being strained too heavily, while others are not activated enough. This leads to an imbalance. Targeted training that compensates for this will promote balance and harmony, so that you can live pain-free, every day.

Preventative services are not covered through basic health insurance. However, supplementary insurance may cover some costs. Check whether your supplementary insurance provider offers an exercise subscription program.
